What are the move limits?

Easy gives you 25 moves, Medium gives 30, and Hard gives 35. The board size and color distribution scale accordingly.

Why can I only pick from 6 colors?

The game uses a fixed palette of 6 colors: red, amber, green, blue, violet, and pink. This keeps the decision space manageable while still creating challenging puzzles.

Is there a daily challenge?

Yes. A daily board is generated from a shared seed so every player faces the same color layout. Your performance is tracked on the daily leaderboard.

Color Flood does not have an undo feature — each color pick is final. Plan your moves carefully before selecting a color.

How do I improve my score?

Focus on capturing the maximum number of cells per move. Look at the border of your flood region and choose the color with the largest contiguous group touching it.

How to Play Color Flood

Objective

Starting from the top-left corner, pick colors to flood-fill outward and capture the entire board within a limited number of moves.

Controls

Tap a color from the palette below the board. The flood region (starting from the top-left corner) changes to that color and absorbs all adjacent cells of the same color.

1The board starts as a grid of randomly colored cells. Your flood region begins as the single cell in the top-left corner.
2Choose a color from the palette. Your flood region changes to that color.
3All cells adjacent to your flood region that match the new color are absorbed into it.
4Repeat, expanding your flood region with each color pick.
5Clear the entire board before running out of moves to win.

Winning

You win when every cell on the board has been absorbed into your flood region. You lose if you exhaust all available moves before clearing the board.

Tips & Strategies

1.Pick the color that captures the most cells on each move. Look at which color appears most frequently along the border of your current flood region.

2.Think two or three moves ahead. Sometimes a color that captures fewer cells now opens up a larger flood on the next move.

3.Pay attention to clusters. Large groups of the same color deep in the board are worth steering toward early.

4.On higher difficulties the move limit is tighter relative to the board size. Efficiency matters more than on Easy.

5.Count remaining cells and moves. If you have more unique color regions left than moves remaining, you need to find high-value picks.
